Closed Tank Open Top liner
Kentain flexible PVC liners are designed to make installation
a simple, safe and efficient operation. Totally prefabricated
at the factory, the Kentain liner can usually be installed
in a single day by the customers’ maintenance
personnel. You do have the option of using a qualified
Kentain supervisor and crew. When dealing with a closed
top installation and Kentain qualified supervisor is
included. Kentain crews are fully qualified to work
in enclosed spaces.
Preparation of the interior of the tank does not require
expensive downtime and sand blasting. Simply remove
sharp projections and loose scales on the existing tank
interior.
Installation of the Kentain open top liner
in a closed top tank requires a Kentain qualified supervisor.
The prefabricated liner is taken through a man-way and
unfolded with the top side up to expose the hem.
Semi rigid polyethylene tubing is inserted in the hem
around the top of the liner. Notches are provided at
regular intervals to allow plastic rope to be fasted
to the tubing.
The liner is pulled up and secured in place in various
ways as shown below.
Where flanged fittings are located, the flexible flange
tube is pulled through the opening and smoothed into
place.

Fittings Info & picture
Fittings
Flexible PVC tank liners include
flanged tubes joined and sealed at the factory. By folding
the flexible flanges, tubes can be inserted through
the concrete, wood, FRP or steel walls and pipe fitting.
This eliminates most onsite seaming and joining and
provides long lasting, chemical resistant protection
for the fittings as well as the tank itself. Bag type
flexible PVC liners and tubes can be custom made for
tanks of any size or shape.
