The prefabricated liner is taken through a man-way and unfolded with the top side up to expose the hem.

Semi rigid polyethylene tubing is inserted in the hem around the top of the liner. Notches are provided at regular intervals to allow plastic rope to be fasted to the tubing.

The liner is pulled up and secured in place in various ways as shown below.

Where flanged fittings are located, the flexible flange tube is pulled through the opening and smoothed into place.

Fittings

Flexible PVC tank liners include flanged tubes joined and sealed at the factory. By folding the flexible flanges, tubes can be inserted through the concrete, wood, FRP or steel walls and pipe fitting. This eliminates most onsite seaming and joining and provides long lasting, chemical resistant protection for the fittings as well as the tank itself. Bag type flexible PVC liners and tubes can be custom made for tanks of any size or shape.

1. The bundled liner is lowered through the manhole into the tank.

2. Chemical resistant polypropylene ropes are passed through holes in the tank top and fastened to the ribs on the top of the liner.

3. The liner is hoisted by the ropes into place.

4. The ropes are tied together to secure the liner into position.
